My name is Xavier Womack, former player of Coach A, ever since I met Coach A he changed my perspective on my life/faith and ultimately my basketball work ethic. I wouldn’t be the man I am today without him.

Coach A was an amazing mentor for me my freshman year at Rice. Whether that was being a shoulder to lean on, a guy to ask for advice, someone I shared jokes with, or someone to talk hoops with, he was always an amazing person to be around. We would pray before every game and he always had my back. He always kept it real and would let me know what I needed to look out for as I began to grow as a college basketball player 

Coach A has been a true blessing for me in my basketball career from the time he stepped foot on to the rice university campus he was very supportive of me in basketball and in life. To this day me and Coach A have a great relationship and i would consider him family

As a person who’s been through a lot before I became one of his players, I didn’t know much Coach A would impact my life. The thing Coach impacted me most was how my attitude can change everything in my life. The remarkable thing we have is a choice everyday regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the fact that people act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. What coach instilled in me has helped not only when I played for him but has also transcended to my everyday life. With adjusting my attitude and my perspective on what happens to me, I feel I’m able to preserve and push through anything that comes my way. I wouldn’t have learned that with Coach A and I thank him for that because it’s brought a lot success in my life with ball and post ball.”

Coach Alexander was the foundation that developed my work ethic. When I joined the USC Aiken program, which was coming off an NCAA D2 Final Four appearance, he expected nothing less than greatness from his next recruiting class. His leadership pushed me to strive for perfection, which set the tone for the rest of my success throughout my college career. Thanks to his techniques, I was able to elevate my skillset and help lead my team to its first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance in 2020. Even to this day, I approach life with the same mindset he instilled in me, carrying it over into my everyday work life.
